Arugula also known as Garden Rocket has a fresh, tart bitter, or peppery flavor. This peppery, slightly bitter green is popular in fancy restaurant salads. Add it to pasta, omelets, soups, and potato salads, make it into pesto, and even use it as a fresh, crunchy topping for pizzas. Rinse and dry the leaves before placing them in an airtight container or zip-lock bag. Store in the crisper drawer of your refrigerator.
